King Abdulaziz International Airport (JED)
Saudi Arabia's third largest airport is the busiest in terms of passenger traffic, is located about 12 miles (19 kilometers) north of Jeddah, the gateway city to Mecca, a pilgrimage site and Islam's holiest city.

King Khalid International Airport (RUH)
The second busiest airport in Saudi Arabia in terms of passenger traffic is located aout 22 miles (35 kilometers) north of the city of Riyadh. It was constructed in 1982 to replaced the former Riyadh Airport, located near the city center. Today that airport is a Royal Saudi Airforce base.

King Fahd International Airport (DMM)
This international airport located about 25 miles (40 kilometers) northwst of the city of Dammam is the largest airline in the world in terms of physical size. Its construction was mostly completed by 1990 and it opened to commercial flights in 1999. The King Fahd Airport replaced the former Dhahran International Airort that was built in 1961, and today is a Royal Saudi Air Force Bse.

Prince Mohammad Bin Abdulaziz International Airport (MED)
The fourth busiest airport in Saudi Arabia is a regional airport in the west central Saudi city of Medina that first opened in 1974. It handles mostly domestic a few international flights, and extra charter international flights during the Hajj (Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca) season.
